This is continuation from the previous poster of 16 sheets = A0. It became too large for the purpose and we decided to create a parallel conversation as if conversing with the history. Older posters and new posters. Here the idea is to create juxtaposition between discourses of posters design but very much so between the discourse about Namibia and Africa from the Finnish perspective and Finland perspective and that of the Namibian, local, perspective through media and through living in the society for a long period of time. We believe that discourse about Namibia and Africa from the Finnish perspective supports certain myths and we are here to sheld light on the myths being repeated.

We are moving from news texts to literature. The 16 sheets of posters in a pile construct one A0 poster. All the texts in the posters are typed from the original sources, which are books written by Finns about Africa and Namibia in particular in Finnish.

UCT’s incredible art collection dismantled today by blind fear

As I lay the posters on the floor quietly and calmly to admire the paper tints: Peach (top), Lavender (middle), Cyber HP Pink (bottom), I realised that in essence, if – the words 'west' or 'africa' should not be used for any reason or none at all, then AT LEAST the word combination 'west africa' should be neutral, and used with no problem? is it so? interesting! very interesting!

>> philosophy through language the representation of which is typography.

In the same moment as I leaned over to take this document image with a digital camera I felt a feeling of falling, leaning over, over the printed sheets, and my thoughts went to Virginia Wolf and her feet on the bottom of the river as depicted in the movie Mrs Dalloway, because I love the dress she was wearing in the movie and how it touched the water as she walked.
