My latest conceptual poster design series is titled 'west africa' and it was inspired by two separate seminars that are linked together by my presence and the repetitive use of the words 'west' and 'africa'. i would like to problematise the use of words ‘west’ and ‘africa' which makes a new concept:

west africa!

on these two separated continents: africa and europe (read: the west, but not exactly, is it?), in more detail, south africa and belgium. there was a request by a phd student in south africa to have posters to be spread the university campus, here they are!

my design work for this poster series took a whole hour between 8am until 8:55 the work is ready to be shared.

The new stamp is ready. I am currently producing new work and our own alphabets. I use reproduction as a tool in design and as an outcome in the process.

I am moving on the next phase of reproductions through posters.

This project is titled This is (just) a teacup.

The project represents design objects through reproduction and representation through 

poster as a medium.

I did not "win" in the Vuoden Huiput graphic design competition in Finland in the poster category.

What I wanted to know is to see what happens as part of the process. So winning was not the aim but to see what happens. This testing is part of the practice-based research process.
